Slovak mobility scholarships: apply by 31 October
A YÖK notice updated on 16 October 2026 highlights Slovakia’s National Scholarship Programme call for summer semester 2026/2027. Applications close on 31 October 2026 at 16:00 CET, equivalent to 18:00 in Türkiye.

What changed
The current call supports temporary study, research or teaching stays at qualifying Slovak host institutions. It does not fund a full degree in Slovakia.
Who is affected
Non-Slovak applicants in eligible student, PhD student, university teacher, researcher or artist categories, each with its own conditions and exclusions.
Student applicants must study at a university outside Slovakia, be master’s students or have completed at least 2.5 years in the same or a similar programme, and have acceptance from a qualifying Slovak host.
Why it matters
This is an academic-mobility opportunity. Previous stays in Slovakia, other public funding and the call’s remaining exclusions can affect eligibility.
What to do next
Check your applicant category, host requirements and document list on the programme website before preparing an online application. Complete it by the stated deadline and follow the programme’s language and document rules. Applying does not guarantee a scholarship or visa.
